The program is currently seeking motivated high school students with a demonstrated interest in community-focused storytelling. Successful candidates should possess a curiosity for local public health issues and a commitment to rigorous, objective reporting. Your submission should include a brief personal statement detailing your motivation for joining the program and any previous experience in citizen journalism or advocacy. All applications will be carefully reviewed by our senior editorial board and professional journalist mentors.

The Junior Journalist Program empowers ambitious high schoolers aged 14-18 to find their professional voice within investigative media. Candidates should possess a strong academic record and the dedication to participate in weekly reporting tasks and expert mentoring. We seek inquisitive minds with a talent for fact-finding and a desire to highlight vital local stories. While prior involvement in journalism or writing programs is beneficial, it is not a requirement for entry.
